Airlines at Islay Airport (ILY)
Because of its small size and somewhat remote location, Glenegedale Airport (ILY) is served by just one airline, Flybe, which is Europe's largest regional low-cost airline. The company has just introduced a massive investment programme, allowing it to phase out older aircraft and implement one of the youngest and most environmentally sensitive fleets in the world, which is exclusively comprised of Embraer 195 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft.

Flybe recently took over the airport's scheduled flight service to Glasgow from Loganair. Transits between Glasgow and Glenegedale Airport take just 35 minutes and from Glasgow there are a good number of onward connections available to international destinations.
There are also chartered services provided by Highland Airways and Loganair, while the airport is also used by air ambulances.
